On Sunday 30th January we held the Llanelidan games challenge. Many favourite games were played with some competition fierce - especially for the Downfall award. Winners were also presented with edible medals which went down almost as well as the drinks on offer. Thanks to all who attended and made this event such a success and we hope to see you again very soon.

Nativity 2010 (added 19/12/2010)
On 19th December we held our village nativity. The event started with a few carols and an introduction to the Christmas story in the Church of St. Elidan. We then moved across to the Leyland Arms for the rest of the play, written by Polly Snape, where the story was told from the perspective of the grumpy innkeeper. We didn't have to look far for the main part! By the end of the short performance we were all welcomed to the stable across the courtyard where the nativity scene had been built by the characters who had been rejected by the grumpy innkeeper. Silent Night was then sung to the acoustic guitar of Richard, the vicar, and then we all retired back to the Leyland Arms where a slightly less grumpy innkeeper served up warm mince pies.
Thanks to all who made this a success despite the snow which, although making a perfect backdrop, prevented a few people from being able to attend.

Halloween and Michelle's 40th (added 30/10/2010)
Our halloween night this year was made extra special by coinciding with Michelle's 40th birthday party. Michelle lives in Llanelidan and is one of our regulars. She decorated the Leyland Arms as a spiders lair and invited many of her friends and locals to spend the evening celebrating with her. The evening was a great experience and all who attended had a fantastic time.
